The fifth string root dominant 7th chord new chord is similar to the major chord and is the same shape as the open A7. Most players use thier third and fourth fingers to play the notes above the bar.







The root notes on the fifth string are the same as we used for major and minor chords so there's very little to memorize. As with major and minor chords, the shape is the same as the open A7 chord. Again, any open chord can be moved into bar chord positions.
