Playing Bar (Barre) Chords on the Guitar - 5th String Root

In the previous lesson, we learned how to play 6th string root bar chords. We learned that
we can play any major chord by shifting the open chord shape accross the fingerboard.
Playing through the exercises, you probably noticed that some position shifts can be pretty
long and rather inconvenient. The solution is to learn bar chords in the fifth position.
It is often more convenient to alternate between 5th and 6th string root bar chords rather
than make long position shifts. We'll use the open Amaj chord shape and build chords from
the 5th string.

5th string root bar chords work the same way as 6th string root bar chords but we'll use
the 5th string as the point of reference. Again, we'll need that first finger available to
form the bar, so, it's necessary to modify your fingering slightly from the open chord.

By learning the notes on the 5th string, we now have a second posistion for every major
chord.
