Playing Bar (Barre) Chords on the Guitar (Dominant)
Home - blues4kids.com

Changing a major bar chord to a dominant seventh is simply a matter of lifting your fourth finger. This adds the Flat 7th degree from the scale. The new chord is the dominant "seventh" chord.

The root notes on the sixth string are the same as we used for major and minor chords so there's very little to memorize. As with major and minor chords, the shape is the same as the open E7 chord. Again, any open chord can be moved into bar chord positions.
