Playing Bar (Barre) Chords on the Guitar (Minor)

Changing a major bar chord to a minor one is simply a matter of lifting your second finger.
This flats the third degree of the chord by moving it one fret toward the headstock. As you
should know, flatting the third degree of any chord (or scale) results in making it
minor.

The root notes on the sixth string are the same as we used for major chords so there's very
little to memorize. As with major chords, the shape is the same as the open E minor. Any
open chord can be moved into bar chord positions.
